It covers the midsole, from the mid foot to the forefoot, improving the comfort and rebound properties of the shoe.

The new upper of the Saucony Grid Fastwitch is made from a combination of Ultralite open mesh and FlexFilm welded overlays. The overlays provide the support in running, while the mesh improves the breathability and flexibility of a shoe. When running in marathons, these aspects could enhance the runner’s performance and render comfort to the feet, so it will not be as beat up in the end.  

Nobody could deny that the Saucony Grid Fastwitch is better than its predecessors in the series in many aspects. It continues to be a lightweight stability runner that can be used for both training and racing. The Midfoot Support Bridge still provides medium support for those who tend to over pronate while running. It is also firmer than other stability shoes for the lack of cushioning technologies. Improvements may have been put into place, such as the Ultralite mesh upper, a spacious toe box, a premium sock liner, and FlexFilm overlays, but it feels just the same with the old ones in terms of feel and performance.  For a price of $90, the Saucony Grid Fastwitch is not a bad deal if you are just getting the version for the first time. However, if you have the Saucony Grid Fastwitch 5, you might as well stick to it until new shoe technologies come along.

Terrain                                                     

The terrains on which the Adidas CC Freshride were designed for, is on even and smooth surfaces such as cement and asphalt. Since there is the presence of perforated linings, water is permeable in the shoes. Thus, it is important that you use the CC Freshride during hot and dry season where the possibility of running into wet areas is minimal.

Use

The Adidas CC Freshride can be used for speedy training and long distance running on even surfaces. The shoes are also lightweight, and during long distance runs, it will not feel heavy, but will instead retain its original weight. Furthermore, you will still comfort and coolness despite running for a long time, since the wind can pass through the shoes.

Durability

Since it is made up of good textile materials, the Adidas CC Freshride is quite durable. The mesh linings are much stronger and you can use them for a longer period. However, you must be very careful not to use the shoes during wet or rainy seasons since water can pass easily through the shoes.

Outer sole

The outer sole of the Adidas CC Freshride is made up of a soft zigzag design. Crevices are found between these zigzag designs, which grant more flexibility to the forefoot. There is also the presence of 3 extra ports that somehow supports your arch during a running transition from the outsole to the midsole. There is lesser cushioning in the outsole that allows you to feel the surface beneath the shoes.

The outsole is also made of adiWear® which is a non-marking rubber compound. This helps reduce the effects of abrasion to your feet. Furthermore, this feature extends the lifespan of your Adidas CC Freshride.

Midsole

The midsole of the Adidas CC Freshride are made with denser foam to increase protection. Furthermore, a special Impact Plate is incorporated into it to help maintain shoe rigidity and flexibility. There is also a ForMotion™ element found in the midsole, which allows natural adaptability during landing by adjusting your sport motion. The CC Freshride has the a³ feature as well. The a³ is a midsole system designed for cushioning and guidance, as well as in driving the foot through the entire foot strike.

Upper

The upper of the Adidas CC Freshride is minimally constructed with its micromesh and faux suede materials. This enables more room for ventilation and breathability. Whenever you run, you can feel the wind through your shoes, which also allows your feet to feel dry. This reduces discomfort and improves your performance. There is also the presence of an evolutionary attribute called the endo-cage that is found through the mesh upper. It helps preserve the shoe’s shape by acting as a type of support lining. 

The Adidas CC Freshride is a lightweight shoe that focuses primarily on breathability. It has lesser ankle and upper support that makes it unfit for basketball and tennis players. However, this pair of shoes provides sensitive contact between your foot and the ground. You will feel as if you are running on barefoot since you can feel the surface beneath. Furthermore, the CC Freshride is also great looking with its attractive bright colors and the subtle presence of the Adidas triple-stripe design.
